Storing emails

Many people have stored their emails on our web hosting servers, some planned, some unplanned.

Planned storage:

This is a strategy often used by people on the move. They use http://webmail.theirdomain-name.com.au (etc.) to read and reply to emails. Then when they return to their office they download the emails from the server to their desktop or office computer and delete those stored on the web.

Many large organisations do that, but they are careful to pay for sufficient space so that outside customers' email don't bounce with the message "mail-box full".

We can supply as much space as anyone could require. Published hosting plans go to 5,000 megabytes of space but we can expand that if needed. Our hosting plans are competitively priced.

Unplanned storage can be through:

1. Forgetting to untick "Store mail on server" in the setting of Outlook or Windows Mail.
2. Planning to store mail and deleting it from inside a webmail program like Horde or Squirrel, but forgetting to "purge" deleted mail.

We are delighted to sell more space to clients to store mail. Storing emails on the server needs to be a planned strategy.
