Domain name management

Domain name management is required:

1. To change name servers to those of a new web host and
2. To change contact address details.

Platypus Websites Pty Ltd is a reseller of domain names for both Enetica and DistributeIT.

To manage .AU names (.COM.AU etc.) at Enetica:
https://www.enetica.com.au/man.cgi
and use the domain name password that we sent you.

To manage GTLD (.COM etc.) names at Enetica:
https://www.enetica.com.au/gtldmanage.cgi
and use the domain name password that we sent you along with user ="webmaster."

To manage both .AU names and GTLD names at DistributeIT:
https://www.distributeit.com.au
and use the account name and account password that we sent you.

If you are unsure which registrar your domain name is currently with, check it at any "whois" like http://whois.melbourneit.com.au.

Names registered with us since 14 May 2009 are with DistributeIT. Since then we have been gradually transferring domain names from Enetica to DistributeIT to take advantage of the lower registration costs — already reflected in our prices.

Regardless of which Australian registrar is used, the registration will comply with Australian and international regulations and the only difference is the price.

Domain names registered through Platypus Websites will not expire just because your contact details have changed since you registered. We will do everything possible to find you. (We know where you live!)

On the other hand, we know of many instances where a website owner has registered direct with a registrar, but whose website went down because the owner did not receive the renewal notice. Registrars with tens of thousands of domain names cannot be expected to follow up a renewal notice sent to an old address.
