Naturally, if a web page contains the word three times on the page, it is three times as relevant as a page which contains the word only once.
To see how many times a search word appears in a webpage in a Google listing:
- Click on the “cached” link which is at the end of the description of each website listed.
- If you have searched for a group of 3 words, you will see each word highlighted in colour in the display of the cache
- You may be surprised at how often a key word can be embedded in natural text.
- These are the words that tell the search engine just how relevant to the search that page is
