Hosting plans have a quota for monthly traffic (bandwidth) in Megabytes or Gigabytes. Linux servers automatically suspend websites when they exceed that quota.
If you watch the control panel for bandwidth use you can see when you need to upgrade. e.g. If you have used 90% of quota at 50% of the month you will need to choose to upgrade your plan. If it’s 90% of quota at 95% of the month you should scrape through.
We usually get notified before you exceed the quota and can warn you, unless your traffic is increasing very fast.
High bandwidth use results from high traffic and / or images not optimized. If you know that you will have high monthly traffic ask us for “unlimited bandwidth”.
